With “studies”, we choose a very small aspect, topic or technique to focus on, rather than trying to create vast all encompassing masterpieces.
We go deep, rather than wide.
To unfold one tiny corner of our creativity and chosen medium at a time.
To explore the edges and the nuances of the work repeatedly, with small variations.
To know, feel, breathe, and enjoy it, inside out.
Then, this knowledge and experience enriches our talents and subsequent work (of all sizes) no end.
How do you incorporate studies in your creative life?
